Query and Create a Database Filter

Thelabelingsoftwareallowsyoutoperformqueriesonthedatabasetabletoextractonlytherecords

matchingsomecondition.Pleasenotethatyouhavetoenablerecordselectioninthedatabaseprop-

ertiestobeabletoquerythedatabase.Toenabledatabasefilter,dothefollowing:

1. RefertothechapterLink to a Database Using Database Wizard.Followthesteps

from1to6.

2. SelecttheoptionIwanttoselectwhichrecordtoprint.

3. ClickontheFinishbutton.

Thelinktothedatabaseiscreatedanddatabasefieldsarelinkedtotextobjectsonthe

label.

4.

Clickonthe buttonorselectthecommandPrintintheFilemenu.

5. ClickontheSelect RecordsbuttoninthePrintdialogbox.

RecordSelectiondialogboxopens.

6. Clickonthesmallarrowbuttonnexttothefieldnamesinthetableandchoosethecon-

dition.

Definingthefilterbyclickingthearrowbutton

Youcandisplayonlytherecordsthatareequaltotheselectedvalueinthelistoryoucandefine

yourcustomfilter.

Allrecordsmatchingtheconditionwillbefilteredfromthedatabaseanddisplayedinthetable.
