senttoprinterasgraphicsandthereforethesizeofdatasenttoprinterismuchbigger

(coupleofkilobytes).Whenusinginternalfonts,onlythetextissenttoprinter(coupleof

bytes).

l Avoiduseofgraphicsonlabels.

l Whenusingbarcodes,makesurethatyoudon'tprintbarcodesasgraphics,ifyour

printersupportsprintingbarcodes.

l Whenusingcounters,theprinterwillinternallyincrementthenumbersiftheinternal

fontsareused.(ifsupportedbytheprinter)Thismeans,thattheprinterwillonlyreceive

thefirstnumberofobject,andwilllaterincrementthisnumbertoprintotherlabels.

Usingthisoptionalsoreducestheamountofdatatransferredbetweencomputerand

printer,butthedifferenceisnoticeableonlywithhighquantityoflabels.

l Settheprintingspeedtoahighervalue(ifyourprintersupportsit).Notethatsettingthe

printingspeedusuallyaffectsthequalityofprinting.Thehigherthespeed,thelowerthe

quality.Youwillhavetofindanacceptablecompromiseforthis.

l Don'tprinttoomuchdataonlabels.Ifthespeedofprintingisanimportantfactor,you

shouldconsiderusingpreprintedlabels,andonlyprintthedata,thatisdifferentoneach

label.
